Selling Precious Metals to ATS Bullion

ATS Bullion Review

If you have gold or other bullion that you'd like to sell, ATS Bullion may be willing to purchase them from you. They have worked to streamline the process for individuals to make it as simple as possible. You can either visit their physical location in the United Kingdom to sell your bullion in person, or you can sell your metals through the mail.

To confirm current pricing, call ATS Bullion to speak with one of their representatives. If you're planning to mail your bullion to them, they'll provide you with more detailed instructions to do so.

Gold Storage

ATS Bullion Review

When you purchase precious metals from ATS Bullion, you can choose to have your metals stored in one of their secure facilities. All precious metals stored in the secure vault include full insurance through Lloyds of London. The vault is located in an offsite location, but ATS Bullion doesn't disclose this location to ensure your metals remain secure.

The cost for storing your gold through ATS Bullion seems to be pretty standard. They charge a 1% fee each year. You can always request to have your precious metals shipped directly to you, or you can even decide to sell them back to ATS Bullion directly from the vault.

Are There Any Red Flags for ATS Bullion?

ATS Bullion Review

Heading over to your trusted review site can provide you with important insights on a company's reputation. As we were writing this, we checked for reviews with the Better Business Bureau, Business Consumer Alliance, TrustLink, and Trustpilot. As you can see below, there were no reviews listed on the BBB's website, the Business Consumer Alliance's website, or TrustLink.

The only site where we found any reviews as Trustpilot, and there were only three customer reviews there. No reviews doesn't always tell you that a company is not worth doing business with, but it also doesn't provide you with confidence that you'll get excellent service. Many people are nervous about working with a company that doesn't have any positive reviews, and we generally recommend against it.

  • Better Business Bureau: Not rated; not a BBB Accredited Business
  • Business Consumer Alliance: Not rated
  • TrustLink: Not rated
  • Trustpilot: 3.6/5 (with 3 reviews)

Is ATS Bullion a Scam?

ATS Bullion Review

So, is ATS Bullion a scam? No, we think that ATS Bullion is a legitimate company. They have been in business for nearly two decades and truly offer the products and services advertised on the website.

While ATS Bullion appears to be a legitimate company, we still wouldn't recommend choosing them if you're looking to purchase precious metals. There are a few things we don't love about ATS Bullion, especially when compared to the other precious metals investment companies out there.

ATS Bullion Review

First, like we mentioned above, we had a difficult time finding reviews for ATS Bullion. Of the four review sites we checked, we could only find reviews on Trustpilot. And, the reviews we found on Trustpilot weren't overwhelmingly positive, either. ATS Bullion only received a 3.6/5 stars on the site. An additional concern we have about ATS Bullion is that they are not a BBB Accredited Business.

When you consider that numerous other gold investment companies have much better online ratings and have earned BBB accreditation, it should make you realize that you want to look elsewhere.

The ATS Bullion website also doesn't seem to mention IRA services. If you're looking to set up a precious metals IRA, you may be better off choosing a company that offers this service. It can save you a step in trying to find your own IRA custodian.

Features

  • ATS Bullion's history traces back the Spink & Sons, a bullion department founded in 1666.
  • They are a family company that buys and sells precious metals.
  • ATS Bullion offers a large selection of gold, silver, and platinum bullion pieces.
  • They also offer secure gold storage solutions for investors.
  • You can sell gold, silver, and platinum bullion to ATS Bullion.

Pros

  • Their selection of coins and bars is more extensive than many other companies.
  • You can sell precious metals to ATS Bullion.
  • If you want to store your precious metals in a secure vault, ATS Bullion offers secure storage solutions.

Cons

  • There are not many online reviews for ATS Bullion.
  • They are not a BBB accredited business.
  • ATS Bullion doesn't appear to offer IRA services.

Final Verdict

If you're ready to diversify your portfolio by investing in gold and silver, we're happy you're taking steps to ensure a financially comfortable future. However, if you're thinking about investing with ATS Bullion, we would recommend reevaluating that decision.

Online reviews for ATS Bullion are lacking, and the company hasn't received accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. We'd recommend doing a bit more research, and we think you'll discover that there are numerous other precious metals investment companies that have a better reputation and higher reviews that ATS Bullion.

Although we do think that ATS Bullion is a decent company, we believe that there are better companies out there to make your investment with.
