Are There Any Red Flags for Gold Avenue?

We strongly believe in looking up reviews from past customers to learn more about how a business operates and treats its customers. Descriptions on a website can be misleading and only present the image a company wants you to see. But, when you read reviews from real customers, you can gain a deeper insight into how you'll likely be treated, should you choose to be a customer.
While we were working on this review of Gold Avenue, we look up reviews for the company through the Better Business Bureau, the Business Consumer Alliance, TrustLink, and Trustpilot. These are our four favorite review sites; they are all well-established and trusted online resources.
We were not able to find any reviews for Gold Avenue through the BBB, Business Consumer Alliance, or TrustLink. Trustpilot was the only site where we could find reviews.
Limited reviews don't always indicate a poor company. However, it doesn't give you the same confidence that you would feel if you found a highly rated business on all four of these sites (and there are many gold investment companies that meet these criteria).
Is Gold Avenue a Scam?

No, from our research, Gold Avenue does not appear to be a scam. They seem to be a legitimate company that offers the services advertised on the website.
However, after reviewing Gold Avenue, we don't feel like they offer the best solution for those looking to invest in precious metals. First, while there are reviews for Gold Avenue available through Trustpilot, we could not find reviews for the company through any of our other most trusted review sites.
As we shared above, a lack of reviews doesn't necessarily mean that you can't trust a company, but it does not help to make you feel more confident about your decision to do so. Gold Avenue also is not a BBB accredited business.
There are many other online gold investment companies that have hundreds (or even thousands) of reviews through these sites, and many of them have also earned accreditation through the Better Business Bureau.
After looking through the Gold Avenue website, it also does not appear that this company offers IRA services. Adding gold and silver to a precious metals IRA is one of the top ways to invest in these metals while also enjoying the tax benefits IRA holders receive. Even if you aren't looking to set up a precious metals IRA now, you may change your mind in the future, and it would be nice to find one trusted company to work with for all your investment needs.
Overall, we feel like there are better precious metals investment companies out there. Many of these companies offer IRA services, are BBB accredited, and come more highly reviewed by past customers than Gold Avenue.

Final Verdict
If you're looking to invest in precious metals, we think you're making a wise move towards securing your financial future. However, we don't think choosing to work with Gold Avenue would be such a wise move. The company doesn't offer IRA services, isn't accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and doesn't have as many reviews as many other gold investment companies. We think a bit more research will reveal other better options to consider working with.
Although we do think that Gold Avenue is a solid company, we believe that there are better companies out there to make your investment with.
