About Santa Barbara Precious Metals
As the name implies, Santa Barbara Precious Metals is located in Santa Barbara, California. They have both a physical store but do not have an online store. The main focus of this company is buying precious metals, however, they're also a jewelry/watch wholesaler.
The main sources of information on Santa Barbara Precious Metals are their website and their Facebook page. Even so, information is sparse at best. They do have a YouTube video but it's more of an ad so you won't learn much about the company itself from watching it.
On both the website and the Facebook page for Santa Barbara Precious Metals, the focus is on promoting their jewelry and metal buying services. In fact, their description says that they buy the following items:
Products
Since they brand themselves as a "jewelry wholesaler" it can be assumed that Santa Barbara Precious Metals sell jewelry. Even so, there isn't a product page on their website so their inventory is a mystery. Presumably, you could contact them and see what they have, but there is no indication that they sell products online.
Resources for Investors
Interestingly enough, Santa Barbara Precious Metals does have a "Gold Buyers Sellers Tips" guide on their website. This guide contains information such as "Condition of Coins," United States Gold Coins," and "Gold Ingots."
Something else that should be mentioned is that the guide seems to have been made by The International Diamond Center, a business located in Clearwater, Florida. Why Santa Barbara Precious Metals would have a guide made by another company on their site is unknown, though this mystery doesn't diminish the info of the guide itself.
Red Flags
The main red flags should probably be pretty obvious at this point. The minimal information on both their website and Facebook page makes it hard to get a clear picture of Santa Barbara Precious Metals as a company other than the fact that they primarily purchase precious metals and jewelry.
While the website does state that the business is family owned and operated, there is no information on who this family is, or who the owner is. Whether this information is being withheld intentionally or is simply the product of poor branding/web design is unknown.
Another oddity is the fact that the different links on their website for categories such as gold, silver, and platinum link to another website, Kitco, which tracks the latest spot prices. In all honestly, there isn't much of value on the Santa Barbara Precious Metals website other than the previously mentioned guide and their contact info.
Though the website has categories for "Who We Are" and "What We Do," they don't link to anything. Is the website incomplete? Or did they simply decide not to add that information? The copyright on the site says 2017, so our best guess is that the information probably isn't going to be added anytime soon if ever.

Final Verdict
While there are no major red flags for Santa Barbara Precious Metals, it is fairly obvious that they haven't put as much effort into their online presence as one would expect for a business of this kind. This makes it hard to get a full understanding of the company.
Between the incomplete information on its website and the fact that they haven't updated its Facebook page since 2013, it does make one wonder why Santa Barbara Precious Metals has neglected its online marketing. Maybe they get enough foot traffic that they don't have to worry about advertising online that much?
In any case, the best thing we can say about Santa Barbara Precious Metals is the fact that they have good reviews on Google and Yelp. That said, we can't recommend whether or not you should do business with them based on the limited information available online.
