A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing her crown and facing the right is featured on the obverse of the coin. Also include on the obverse is the coin's $5 face value, the minting year of 2021, "Elizabeth II," and "Solomon Islands."
Reverse
The reverse of this coin was designed by Joel Iskowitch to honor the first responders that died trying to save lives on September 11th. In this image, a firefighter is shown kneeling among the rubble with his canine companion. The number 343 is stamped on his helmet to honor the 343 first responders who didn't make it out of the towers that day. An American Flag is show flying over the rubble, symbolizing the power and resilience of the United States. "Never Forget" is written along the top of the coin, and 9/11 is prominently displayed over the bottom of the image on the reverse.
