Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Gold Coin at a Glance
About the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Gold Coin
This stunning gold coin was minted to commemorate the first Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix to take place at the new Miami Autodrome. The race took place on Sunday, May 8th 2022.
The Swiss PAMP Mint—a famous and respected establishment—minted this gold coin. It is made with 99.99% pure gold and weight ¼ of an ounce. The coin has a 22-millimeter diameter and a depth of 1.06 millimeters.
This coin was designed to be a collector's item in addition to celebrating the Miami Grand Prix. Just 2,500 copies were minted, which can help to increase its value significantly in the future if demand is higher.
If you order the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Gold Coin, it will come in a protective package bearing the Formula 1 racing logo and the Miami Grand Prix 2022 race title. The coin is displayed at the top of the case with a black and white checkered flag, synonymous with racing, waving behind it.
The back of each case includes a number certificate, statements verifying the weight, purity, and fineness level of the coin, and the PAMP's Swiss assayer's signature.
Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Gold Coin Design
Regardless of whether you are a huge fan of Formula 1 racing, we think you'll appreciate the design of this coin. The next few sections will tell you more about the obverse and reverse designs of the coin.
Obverse
A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, is shown on the front of the coin. Rank-Broadley's portrait depicts a side profile of Her Royal Majesty facing the right. The Queen is wearing an elaborate crown and has a slight smile on her face.
The Queen's image is centered on the obverse of the coin. "Elizabeth II," "Solomon Islands," "AU999.9m" "150 Dollars," and "2022" are all written in a circle along the edge of the coin.
Reverse
The PAMP Mint kept the reverse design of this coin simple and fully in-line with Formula 1 racing. A large Formula 1 logo is centered on the reverse of the coin. "Formula 1" is written along the top edge of the coin, and "Miami Grand Prix 2022" is written along the bottom edge.
Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Gold Coin Value
The face value of this coin is high compared to many other gold coins, but it still pales in comparison to its true value. The coin has a 150 Solomon Islands Dollar face value. However, when you consider the current spot price of gold, it should be evident that the coin is worth substantially more than $150.
Additionally, only 2,500 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Gold coins were produced. The value of coins produced in limited quantities is often higher than the pure spot price alone due to the increased demands that often come when supply is low.
If you would like to determine the current value of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Gold coin, look for a reputable precious metals dealer. They can help you learn more about what it would cost to add this coin to your portfolio.
