Formula 1 Silver Coin at a Glance
About the Formula 1 Silver Coin
This exquisite Formula 1 Silver coin was released to honor the Formula 1 championship motor races.
The coin comes to use from the renowned PAMP Mint in Switzerland. It is made from 99.9% pure silver and weight 2 ½ ounces, making it a large coin. The silver coin has a 50-millimiter diameter with a 3.7-millimeter depth.
If you are a coin collector, or looking for a valuable investment, you'll appreciate the fact that this coin was produced in limited quantities. Just 5,000 copies were produced by the PAMP Mint.
When you purchase this coin, it will be sent in a decorative protective package. The package itself enhances the overall design of the coin. The silver coin is center in the plastic case, with a black and white checkered flag waving behind it. The Formula 1 logo is shown on the bottom right of the case and "2022 Championship" is written on the bottom left.
The back of the packaging includes details about the weight and fineness of the coin. It also includes a Certificate Number, proof-quality statement, and the signature of the PAMP Mint's accredited Swiss assayer.
Formula 1 Silver Coin Design
Ready to learn more about the spectacular design of this silver coin? Let's take a look at the obverse and reverse designs in the next few sections.
Obverse
Ian Rank-Broadley's famous portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is the featured image on the obverse of this coin. In the portrait, the Queen is shown looking to the right while wearing a gorgeous crown upon her head.
"Elizabeth II; Solomon Islands; AG 999.0; 5 Dollars; 2022" surround the Queen's portrait.
Reverse
The reverse design of this coin is simple, yet impressive. A large Formula 1 logo is centered on the coin. It is surrounded by the names of all of the 2022 season race locations.
Formula 1 Silver Coin Value
If you were to assess the value of this coin solely by its place value, you may guess that it is worth just 5 Solomon Islands Dollars. However, as a 2 ½-ounce 99.9% pure silver coin, the true value is much higher than this. The value of silver fluctuates, but it feels pretty safe to assume that 2 ½ ounces of nearly pure silver will continue to be worth a lot more than just $5.
However, due to those fluctuations, we can't record a value for the coin in this article, as what we write today could be inaccurate by tomorrow. Rather, you can contact your preferred precious metals provider to determine the coin's current value.
Another strategy you could use to estimate the value of this particular coin is to work with the current spot price of silver. The spot price of silver is based on 1 ounce of silver, so try multiplying it by 2.5 to guesstimate the value of this 2 ½-ounce silver coin.
Keep in mind, though, that this coin's value may be more than simply its weight in silver. Only 5,000 coins were made, which is not very many. If combined with increased demand from investors, these limited supplies could cause the value of the coin to increase to more than the comparative spot price of silver.
Purchasing Formula 1 Silver Coins
Do you think that you'd like to purchase one or more Formula 1 Silver Coins? If you are a fan of Formula 1 racing and believe in the investment potential of silver, this coin could be a good fit for your collection. However, with so many other silver coins to choose from, you may need to weigh the pros and cons of some of your options to make the right decision based on your interests, current financial situation, and future financial aspirations.
