Lear Capital Review

Lexi Capital is a retirement planning and investment company that specializes in helping customers to invest in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) by purchasing gold and silver coins and bullion. The company was established in 2010 and has been in operation up to date with its headquarters being in Raleigh, North Carolina. Lexi Capital asserts that it was founded to help customers in ensuring profitable investment in the precious metals industry considering that this market is prone to numerous fluctuations due to geopolitical crisis and inflation that could result in losses for investors.

Clients wishing to safeguard their retirement benefits are allowed to purchase the gold and silver coins by a rollover of existing IRA accounts or by opening a new account with the company. Customers are promised by the company to be provided with the most reliable information and advice regarding the precious metals market so as to increase their chances of getting profits. Lexi Capital mainly focuses on gold and silver coins because these metals have a high demand globally and therefore, they are more likely to return handsome revenues.

The company also provides a number of investment options in the various types of Individual Retirement Accounts including the traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, and Simple IRA. Under these types of Individual Retirement Accounts, customers can invest in real estate, precious metals, limited liability companies, mortgages, promissory notes, trust deeds, and closely held stocks among others.

In addition, Lexi Capital offers storage services to the customers to have their precious metals kept in a secure storage facility, and this is made possible by a collaboration between the company and the Horizon Bank. Customers also have the choice of requesting the company to have their precious metals handed over to other accredited custodians.

When opening an account with Lexi Capital, customers are not charged any fee for accounts above 50000 dollars. The customers can either choose to open an entirely new account or rollover funds from another existing IRA account. The company has set a 3500-dollar amount as the minimum investment that a customer can make with the company.

If you have an account of below 50000 dollars, the company charges an annual fee of 285 dollars for the first year and thereafter 180 dollars annually to have your account managed. For the customers whose account is worth more than 50000 dollars, the annual fees are waived, and they do not have to pay anything, and when customers make an initial purchase worth 15000 dollars, they are not charged any fee. Additionally, when making orders below 15000 dollars, customers are charged 14.95 dollars as shipping and handling charges, but orders above the same amount are not charged.

Lexi Capital provides new customers with a Gold Assurance Plan which is meant to protect against the common risks of the precious metals market such as inflation and geopolitical issues. The Gold Assurance Plan lasts for six months during which the customer’s investment in gold is protected against price fluctuations by up to 500 dollars for every ounce of gold. Bullion coins are also insured with the Gold Assurance Plan although customers have to pay some additional fees for this purpose. This option is quite beneficial to new customers because it prevents cases of financial losses during the first few months, and this allows them to invest without much fear.

Lexi Capital’s Website

Lear Capital Review

When browsing through the company’s website, I did not find it very user friendly although it has an appealing layout and loads quickly. Unlike most companies, Lexi Capital has not invested as it should on its website because it looks so simple and lacks many features that make a website more user friendly. There are no outright links such sections as about us, customer reviews, frequently asked questions, and other common features present on a good website. There is also no accessibility button to cater for different kinds of users including the blind and other physically or cognitively impaired individuals.

This gives the impression that Lexi Capital only targets individuals who do not have any disability, and this appears unethical. While there are links to such sections as contact us, about the company, frequently asked questions, and about the precious metals, the links are not clear, and users have to struggle to locate them. However, after clicking the above links, users find some helpful information on each section, and the content of each link serves its purpose accordingly. The frequently asked questions section informs customers about the ordering and shipping processes, the annual fees, discounts, payment methods accepted, return and refund policy, and the cost of shipping.

Generally, the company keeps its information truthful and accurate without appearing to deceive the clients about its operations. For example, customers are made aware that the products they see in the photos may not be the exact products they actually get, but the products are as close to the pictured ones as possible. The website does not have a blog’s section where customers can stay updated on the trends in the precious metals industry or get other helpful tips.

However, the company advises the customers to directly contact the company’s employees for any further assistance, and based on some comments made by previous customers, the experts are very helpful. This shows that though there are no helpful blog posts on the company’s website, the company has experienced experts on standby to compensate for that fault.

Is Lexi Capital a Scam?

Lear Capital Review

We have heard of many companies that appear genuine and credible but in reality, these companies are scams. The precious metals industry is especially a good target for such individuals who wish to steal from unaware customers because this industry involves huge amounts of money. This is why it is important for anyone interested in investing in gold, silver, and other precious metals should conduct a deep research to ensure that a given company is legitimate.

While there may be some illegitimate companies, there are also very credible and genuine companies and as such, it would be wrong to accuse one of being a scam without proof. Some factors can be evaluated in an effort to determine whether a company is legitimate or not, and these include checking on accreditations, reviews from customers, presence of a Privacy Policy, payment methods that the company accepts, availability of a physical location address and contact information, and the kind of information given via the website.

Accreditation

Lexi Capital appears to be a reputable company because many review organizations have given high ratings for this company. The company is accredited by the Business Consumer Alliance (BCA) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) which are some of the most trusted review sites. The company has an excellent rating by the BBB, the BCA, and also another site named TrustLink.

Reviews from Previous Customers

Lear Capital Review

Only a few reviews are found on the company’s website, but they are all positive, and those found on other websites are also positive. However, some individuals complain that the company takes a long time to respond to phone calls although the company has specifically requested customers to mainly use email to contact them. One of the positive reviews from a past customer specifically praises the company’s staff claiming that they are very knowledgeable, experienced, and very helpful to customers.

Presence of a Privacy Policy

In most cases, an illegitimate business tends to lack a privacy policy or if it does have one, the privacy policy is written in a confusing language. When reading such a privacy policy, a person may not understand what kind of information the company collects about them or how the company uses this information. In the case of Lexi Capital, the company has a clearly written privacy policy that can be accessed by clicking on a link from the navigation bar.

In the privacy policy, customers are informed that the company collects their personal information and the purpose of this information is given. The company promises to be compliant with the various laws and regulations concerning the privacy of customer information both in California and the United States.

Clients are provided with the process of reporting any complaints about invasion of their privacy or other issues concerning their privacy, and the company says that they take customer complaints very seriously. The company also provides a way for customers to opt out of the promotional mails, and the customers are provided with the process of doing this.

Payment Methods Accepted

Most illegitimate companies do not accept payments through PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, and other reputable payment platforms because it is possible to track down these payments. Therefore, these companies only accept cash and other methods that are difficult to track. For Lexi Capital, clients can order from the company or open accounts with the company using cash, credit cards, wire transfer, and getting a rollover of funds from other existing IRA accounts.

Physical Location and Contact Details

Most of illegitimate firms do not provide any contact information or s physical location address where customers can visit in case they wish to settle some issues with the company. For Lexi Capital, the company has a telephone number through which customers can contact the firm’s client services representative through 800-473-1213. There is also a physical location address for the company which is 1340 Environ Way, #13409 Chapel Hill, NC

Consistency and Accuracy of Content on the Website

There is a tendency for most illegitimate businesses to be careless in various areas such as the type of content they post on their websites. Mostly, these websites contain information that contrasts with other information in other sections, and there are also grammatical errors. While browsing through Lexi Capital’s Website, I found the content to be quite accurate and consistent throughout the several sections, and no grammatical errors were identified.

Final Verdict

Having reviewed the company through the six conditions, it is time to decide whether Lexi Capital is a legitimate company or not. For each condition that Lexi Capital successfully meets, we will assign a point such that if it fulfills all the requirements it will get a total of six points.

Under the first condition of registration, we have seen that Lexi Capital is registered and accredited by the BBB and BCA. In addition, the company has excellent ratings from the two review companies as well as the TrustLink. Lexi Capital, therefore, gets a point for meeting this condition. The second condition is reviews from previous customers, and the company will get a point because the available reviews are positive even though they are few.

Lexi Capital gets another point under the third condition of presence of a Privacy Policy since the policy is available and clearly written. For the fourth condition of payment methods accepted by Lexi Capital, we will assign half a point because there is no mention of such reputable brands such as as MasterCard or Visa.

Lexi Capital will also get a point for meeting the fifth condition of having a physical location address and a telephone number. This means that a customer can visit the company’s offices in person when they need to. Under the final condition of consistency and accuracy of content on its website, we will assign Lexi Capital another point because its website content is written clearly, and there are no grammatical errors present.

Based on these six conditions, Lexi Capital attains five and a half points out of the total six, therefore, it would be accurate to say that Lexi Capital is legitimate.

Although we do think that Lear Capital is a solid company, we believe that there are better companies out there to make your investment with.
